God

Then why should I bother trying to understand?

How can I know Him?

Perhaps it helps to know that He wants to know you. (1 Timothy 2:4)

A beautiful relief?

Or a grave intimidation?

People tend to categorize the Father as "The God of Wrath" and/or "The God of Love"--either or both depending on their circumstances.

Worried you won’t please God?

(Spoiler alert: you won’t...

…a lot.)

Or enthralled with the prospect of having a one-on-one relationship with the Creator of the Universe?

Well, it kinda works the same way as any common parent-child relationship: experience love and you won’t have to experience wrath.

Choose right.

Think right.

Do right.

Now "doing right" doesn’t mean anything without the "right heart", and having the "right heart" doesn’t mean you’re exempt from trials, pain, and sorrow.

Often, He allows the trials, pains, and sorrow to bring you deeper in His love.

To depend on Him.

To respect Him.

To honor Him.

To call Him "Daddy".

To realize He is no two-sided God…

…and His love is multi-dimensional.

He is our unrivaled Rescuer… (Psalm 40:1-5)

…and our peerless Parent. (1 John 3:1)
